Sara has just recently joined the Flight program. She spent most of the previous seven years with another AAU team. Sara is a 6'2" junior and is an excellent post player as well as an academic achiever. She has maintained a 3.9 gpa and is taking a couple of college classes. Sara was named the 2A Nisqually Player of the Year, and was 1st team All League both her sophomore and junior years at Foster High School. She led the Nisqually league in scoring and rebounding from 2006 to 2008. She set the school rebounding record her freshmen year (23). She was also Prep Athlete of the Month last year. Sara spends countless hours in the gym working on her game. Along with being the basketball captain, she is also a tennis captain at FHS. Her high school coach would describe her as a leader, a player that listens very well, and someone who can cheer you up whenever. Her attitude on and off the court is extremely easy going. She takes criticism well and is hoping to play at the next level.

Off the court, Sara enjoys spending time with her family, driving around, writing poetry, snowboarding, and playing tennis. She is also involved with the community and helps out each year at Camp Thunderbird teaching younger kids to participate and cooperate with each other.
