Kelsey is an all around gifted athlete who has competed at the state level in basketball, swimming, and track in her 3 years at Kennedy High School. The King County Journal has named her athlete of the week in all three sports.  As a freshman starter, she played a significant role in her basketball team's advancement at state, finishing 7th.  As a sophomore, she led her team in scoring and was among the top 10 scorers in the girls 3A State Tournament.  She was named to the All-League First Team in 2003 and also named team MVP for offense.  In track as a freshman, she broke a 20-year standing record in the triple jump and tied the school's long jump record.  In 2002, she was league and district champ in the triple and long jump, and finished 7th in state in the triple jump.  In 2003, she placed 7th in the 3A state swim meet in the 50 yd freestyle.  Kelsey is in the honors program at Kennedy High School, maintains a 3.78 GPA, and is in the Spanish Honor Society.  Along with athletics, Kelsey has been involved in ASB and Science Club.  When Kelsey is not playing basketball or other sports, she enjoys reading, family time, and volunteer work.
