Amber Hering had a very impressive 2003-2004 junior season leading the Ballard Beavers to the KingCo 4A playoffs for their second year in a row.  Amber finished in the leagues top ten in scoring with 13.0 points per game and led the Beavers in rebounding at 6.4 per game.  Amber received Honorable Mention in a very competitive league that produced the first (Roosevelt) and second (Garfield) place teams in last years State Tournament.  Amber is best known for her pure shooting ability, but is also a threat to drive to the basket.  She has developed a strong post game and plays very tenacious defense.  Not only does Amber take pride in working hard while playing basketball, she also works diligently at being a model citizen and a successful student in the classroom where she maintains a 3.0 GPA.  In her limited spare time Amber volunteers as a coach for a basketball team at Loyal Heights Community Center and is a camp counselor for the Whitman Middle School 6^th grade camp.
