Katie is a well-traveled basketball player who has gained tournament All-Star recognition and been part of a championship AAU team that won the San Diego Showcase of Champions, the Pacific Northwest Championship, and the Oregon City "Best in the West".  Katie earned recognition as "Player of the Day" for her participation in the last two Washington State 4A Championships.  She is a WIAA Scholar Athlete, Eastside Journal's "Athlete of the Week", received Kingco Honorable Mention status, and led her high school team in rebounds.  Katie was Natural Helper of the Year, runner up for Girl of the Year, and Junior Class Homecoming Princess.  She lettered in volleyball her sophomore year.  During spring break, Katie helped build houses for orphans in Mexico.  Katie is very excited to be playing with her AAU team, the Puget Sound Flight.
