Katie has played and started all of her three years on the Seattle Prep varsity basketball team.  She helped lead the Prep Panthers to win the Metro championship for the 2001 and 2002 seasons.  Katie was also a contributor to Seattle Prep's first ever girl's basketball 3A State Championship.  Her tenacious defense earned her the role of the number one defender of the Prep team.  As a freshman, Katie received the Coaches' Award for the Seattle Prep team.  She was also recognized by the Seattle Times as a Metro League Honorable Mention for her freshman season and 2nd team her sophomore season.  In addition to lettering three years in basketball, Katie has also lettered two years in cross-country, and one year in track.  Katie maintains a 3.83 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.  She also enjoys doing community service at Northwest Harvest and at Children's Hospital through her Junior Guild.  Katie loves photography and going on outings with her Outdoor Club.
