Claire led her high school team in rebounding this season with a wingspan of 75 inches.  She tied as the leading rebounder in the 4A Washington State basketball tournament for 2003.  Claire was awarded the Eastside Journal Athlete of the Week, the Seattle Times Star of the Week, and the MVP of the Oregon City High School Tournament for 2003.  As a starter both her sophomore and junior years at Redmond High School, she contributed to the 4th place finish at state in 2002, and the undefeated regular season and 6th place finish at state in 2003.  Claire takes an American Sign Language class at a local community college and volunteers weekly at Bailey Boushay House in an Adult Day Health Program for adults living with AIDS.  In college, Claire plans to study teaching or nursing, and hopes to play basketball.  Her goals for this summer with Flight are to dominate on the glass!
